Primary Goals
Exploration of novel motor activities to support
development of motor planning.
• Improve bilateral coordination, upper extremity strength,
balance, and core strength.
• Improve vestibular, proprioceptive, and tactile processing
through participation in meaningful activities.
• Increasing flexibility and attention within a group setting.
• Expansion of play skills, increased problem solving and
thinking capacities, and development of positive peer
relationships in the context of a group experience.
• Free play (access to playground and bike area)
• Circle time: greeting song and overview of day’s
activities
• Therapist directed motor activities
• Sensory exploration activity
• Facilitated free play on gross motor equipment
• Closing circle
